Abstract
Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of community population education program for improving values of marriage, childbearing and gender equality among unmarried youth.

Methods:Data was collected by questionnaires from 1,598 unmarried workers at 35 different facilities. Outreach education program was conducted 6 sessions for each facility from June to November in 2010. The collected three family values about marriage, childbearing, and gender equality were respectively analyzed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient using SPSS 17.0.

Results:Value of marriage (t=14.98, p£¼.001) and childbearing (t=11.53, p£¼.001) had significant differences between pre-test and post-test after education about reconstructing their family values but no difference in gender equality.

Conclusions:The results of this study reveal that community outreach education program can reform the reasonable and righteous value with family-friendly perspectives. Considering enriched population education for unmarried youth or premarital couples, creating the proper atmosphere is very important by using fully tailored access strategies to meet their needs. Therefore, when population educations for overcoming the falling birth rate are developed, tailored community outreach education program should be considered. Gender equality is still big issue how to solve it by education in our society.
